Ester Marie
Carter
Dec 15, 1940 — Aug 22, 2026
Hillsboro
Esther Marie Carter entered this life on December 15, 1940,
born to the loving parentage of T. Etta Morgan and Climon
Jones.
Esther was a woman whose life was defined by love,
compassion, service, and devotion to others. She worked at
the hospital, where she cared for those in need, but her
commitment to helping others extended far beyond her
workplace. She was deeply involved in her community and
was always willing to lend a helping hand, offer
encouragement, and care for those around her:
Esther was a longtime and faithful member of Macedonia
Baptist Church, where she worshiped and served for many
years. She later joined St. John Baptist Church, where she
remained a devoted and faithful member until her health
began to decline. Her faith was an important part of her life,
and she carried that faith with her through every season.
Esther's loving presence will forever remain in the hearts of
all who knew and loved her.
She was preceded in death by her parents, Mr. Climon Jones
and Mrs. T. Etta Morgan; her sister, Mary Woodert; and her
beloved son, Antuone Jones.
She leaves to cherish her precious memories one sister, Joyce
Phillips of Elyria, Ohio; one daughter, Juanita Davis of
Hillsboro, Texas; one daughter-in-law, Sydney Jones of
Hillsboro, Texas; three grandsons, LaTerrance Carter of New
Caney, Texas, Tyrone Carter of Cypress, Texas, and Terry
Davis of Hillsboro, Texas; three granddaughters, Serena
Peace (Andre) of Dallas, Texas, Sara Jones of Arlington,
Texas, and Ebony Silas (Eldon) of Red Oak, Texas; sixteen
great-grandchildren; and a host of nieces, nephews, cousins,
friends, and loved ones.
Though Esther has departed this earthly life, the love she
shared, the lives she touched, and the memories she created
will remain forever.
She will be deeply missed, lovingly remembered, and forever
cherished
